Reverend
Kevin Paschall
Kevin Paschall is very excited about coming back to Arcadia UMC as the pastor. When he was first called into pastoral ministry he was sitting in the congregation at Arcadia. He thought that his first pastorate would be at Arcadia. However, God moves in mysterious ways. He is beginning his fourth year of ministry at Milburn UMC in Carlisle County. Then, in 2026, our District Superintendent offered him a dual charge. He felt led to pastor both churches. We are thrilled that the Lord led him to this decision.
Pastor Kevin has been a member of Arcadia UMC since he married Mary Rayl in 1977. They are both graduates of Paducah Tilghman High School where they were high school sweethearts. They are blessed with a son Cliff and his wife Natalie. They also have a daughter Annie who is married to Cary. They celebrate and are very proud of their four beautiful grandchildren.
Pastor Kevin is coming with a mission! That mission is to share God's love both inside and outside the walls of the church. He reminds us that we are called to tell everyone about the difference knowing Jesus has made in our lives. He encourages us to remember how Jesus can help us through the difficulties in life. He asks us, "Are you trying to solve your problems by yourself? He assures us that Jesus can help you get through your struggles and give you peace. However, to experience the love of God through Jesus Christ in an awesome faith community, Pastor Kevin, along with the congregation of Arcadia United Methodist Church, invites you to join us!
Music Director
Gaye Fisher
Our music director and piano accompanist, Gaye Fisher, led her very first church choir in 1977 (you do the math!!). She is also a retired public education music teacher having taught for over 35 years to Pre-K through university level students. She has recently relocated to her husband's (Carl) hometown of Paducah. Carl is proud to be featured on PTHS's Wall Of Fame. Carl & Gaye have two adult daughters, Marissa & Jacqueline, who live in St Paul, Minnesota. Gaye is enthusiastic about beginning her third year serving the Lord here at Arcadia UMC.
Office Manager & Finance Secretary Sandra Mayhugh
Sandy, our Office Manager & Financial Secretary, is a long time member of Arcadia UMC. She keeps the operations of the church running smoothly and might be Arcadia's best ambassador with her wit, her friendliness and her smile. She is also a published and prolific writer. As an only child, writing was an outlet for Sandra's imagination and a great way to live out her dreams on paper. Sandra was born in Kentucky, but grew up in Roxana, IL and worked most of her life in St. Louis, MO and Paducah, KY. She is now retired and living in Paducah along with her furry companions, a dog and two cats.
